This Is A Sample Of A Process Observation I Conducted On A Martial Arts Movement For Performers Class In New York City. The Instructor Who Received This Process Observation Wrote The Following, "Bryan's comments on my group class are thorough, insightful, and very direct. Having mostly trained private clients only in this curriculum, the program I designed for observation was fairly original and untested in this environment. It was great to hear from Bryan not only that the methodology works, but also to receive his educated and experienced opinion as to why. Bryan's feedback was academic and very personable, coming quite clearly from more than one philosophical and pedagogical background. This is huge, as I didn't feel anything he had to say came from a place of generalizations or simple 'textbook' answers. The notes were meticulous and personal and covered every moment of the class. It was incredibly reassuring to know where I, as a younger teacher, was on the right track, and it was inspiring to know where I could improve. As an hour-long session under review, Bryan deftly focused on who I was as a teacher, while simultaneously making incredibly aware observations of who my participants were as students. My relationship and interactions with each student were noted, explored, and considered for both its positive and recommended improvements. This is a huge help, as it gave me a lot more to think about when working with individual students, even though this was a group training session. Bryan has a very illuminated understanding of what makes good group chemistry, and all of his positive feedback has immensely boosted my confidence in teaching group classes. I absolutely appreciate his eye for the techniques that I pride myself on as a teacher, and am humbled by his specificity in what I might not have noticed or had been missing. Bottom Line: You will gain a ton of useful, incredibly well-organized information about yourself as a teacher or coach should you put yourself under Bryan's lens." Enjoy!
This Is A Sample Of A Process Observation I Conducted On A Tai Chi Class In Sandy Springs, Georgia. The Instructor Receiving The Feedback Had The Following Comments, "Specific to the feedback you provided for me. EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you for taking the time and providing feedback as a fellow martial art instructor/educator! Your comments not only provided thoughtful insight but also gave context/language to things I struggle to articulate. Some of them come to me in the moment, others are planned, but the ability to apply the strategically will be VERY valuable. The detailed feedback provided both areas for improvement as well as benefits of our program will make valuable marketing collateral and descriptions with students and parents. " Enjoy!
